Jan Chetna Sansthan translates to ‘an organization for awareness among people’, and was founded in 1988 as a non-profit to work for the welfare of
tribal and other marginalized communities in South-West Rajasthan. We
aim to empower the tribal to build a self-sustainable society led by the
community, where they live in dignity, freedom and justice. The
organization follows a community-led and community-driven approach to
ensure efficient and effective governance, utilization of resources,
etc. Our work also involves making efforts for ensuring the delivery of
rights and entitlements to such communities. In all of our work, we aim
to empower women and girls to lead and become active agents of
transformative social change.
